Umbrella's "Lizzie" Rock Musical Brings Seasonal Fun, Partnerships

More than 130 years after the grisly unsolved murders that rocked Fall River, Massachusetts, Lizzie Borden finally gets her say in The Umbrella Stage Company's rousing production of Lizzie, a ghost-story-meets-rock-concert musical that's just in time for autumn in Concord and the Halloween season!

Take 5 with Director and Choreographer Ilyse Robbins

Ilyse Robbins is an Elliot Norton Award-winning Director and Choreographer who is making her Umbrella Stage Company debut later this month at the helm of LIZZIE, the musical. 

We were able to “take 5” with Ilyse earlier this week during a rehearsal break to talk about all things LIZZIE.

Umbrella Stage Sponsors BTM XXV Play

The Umbrella Stage Company will sponsor the short play Three Seats as part of the Boston Theater Marathon XXV, May 7 at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, and streamed online.

The play is written by Kevin Cirone, whose play Voice of Reason was produced as part of The Umbrella Stage @Home series during the pandemic, directed by Michelle Aguillon.
