Call for Art
- Go Out Doors - Neighbors - Initially conceived for the Go Out Doors installation celebrating newly opened sections of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in West Concord, this extended regional exhibition will feature inter-connected artworks reaching into Concord Center, additional bike and walking paths, and neighboring towns throughout Battle Road and Metrowest. Submit via email by August 31, 2020 to Caroline Provost firstname.lastname@example.org a letter explaining concepts, a brief bio/resume, links to websites/exhibitions and/or images of previous work, and up to 3 proposed images, as detailed as possible to get across the concept(s).
- #DiscoverYourArts Showcase - A virtual art exhibition for our community of youth and adult students, virtual campers, Summer Quest badge recipients, Ninjas in Nature, Artists-in-Your-Own-Residence, and other friends and neighbors of The Umbrella to share what they have been working on this summer. Label and upload images or videos of artwork, along with an "artist's statement" about your experience of creating the work, to our Showcase folder OR post your work on social media with hashtag #DiscoverYourArts by August 22 OR be nominated by a class teacher OR email submissions or inquiries to email@example.com.
- Artist in Your Residence - A new public art exhibition from The Umbrella Arts & Environment and Minute Man National Historical Park. Submissions accepted via social media by tagging @theumbrellaarts and @MinuteManNPS and using the hashtag #ArtistinYourResidence, from now until August 1.
- The Umbrella Artcubator - Awards studio space to visual artists for short term projects throughout the year. The Artcubator expands possibilities for audience engagement with visual arts by catalyzing new and experimental work.
