The Umbrella Stage Company will sponsor the short play Three Seats as part of the Boston Theater Marathon XXV, May 7 at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, and streamed online.

The play is written by Kevin Cirone, whose play Voice of Reason was produced as part of The Umbrella Stage @Home series during the pandemic, directed by Michelle Aguillon.

The following notes by director Pascale Florestal and dramaturg Abraham Rebollo-Trujillo appear in the playbill for The Umbrella Stage Company's production of The Colored Museum, running May 20-June 5, 2022. The production is being presented in parallel to and collaboratively with The Colored Museum: Past, Present, Future, a visual arts exhibition curated by Boston artist and activist Cedric Vise1 D

The arts world of Boston has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, with theaters taking an especially hard blow.
