Umbrella Stage Sponsors BTM XXV Play

The Umbrella Stage Company will sponsor the short play Three Seats as part of the Boston Theater Marathon XXV, May 7 at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, and streamed online.

The play is written by Kevin Cirone, whose play Voice of Reason was produced as part of The Umbrella Stage @Home series during the pandemic, directed by Michelle Aguillon.

Behind the Scenes with the Set Designer for Head Over Heels!

"Boston Plays Wicked Hard" Supports The Theatre Community Benevolent Fund

The arts world of Boston has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, with theaters taking an especially hard blow. In light of this, the Greater Boston Stage Company, with the help of StageSource and the Creatives Who Care Initiative, has teamed up with 53 other local theater companies (including The Umbrella Stage Company!) for limited-edition "Boston Plays Wicked Hard" T-shirts.

Concord Festival of Authors 2020 Goes Online Oct 16–31

CONCORD, MA – Sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library, the 28th annual Concord Festival of Authors (CFA) goes LIVE online to celebrate the written and spoken word with a global audience. CFA events will take place via Zoom from October 16 to October 31, 2020 after months of collaborative planning with organizations in and beyond Concord. The Umbrella Announces Fresh, And Foreshortened, 2021 Season

For COVID Reboot, a Short Season of Diverse, Relevant Titles

 

The Umbrella Stage Company has announced a revised roster of shows planned for its 2020-2021 season, while we continue to prepare for a safe return to our brand new theaters at 40 Stow Street.

With all in-person performances delayed until after the new year, the Company's shortened four-show season comprises four impactful titles.

The Revolutionists - January 15 - 31, 2021

War Paint - February 26 - March 21, 2021
