Ways to Support
Your gift will create countless moments of possibility!
For 40 years you have supported us and challenged us to grow. And you have grown with us - our Umbrella community multiplying by the decade. In celebration of our 40th anniversary season, members of the Board have generously put forward a dollar-for-dollar match for all new or increased gifts up to $40,000 received this season.
The Umbrella provides a home for the countless moments in which someone can be moved, inspired, or changed in some way by the arts - in our classrooms, galleries, theaters, education camps, outdoor exhibits and events, and more. YOU enable us to make every one of those moments possible. And now your impact could be doubled!
Please consider a gift today to support the arts in your community all year-round.
Make your secure online donation now. Or send your check by mail to The Umbrella, 40 Stow Street, Concord, MA 01742.
Consider becoming a Leadership Donor…
Leadership Donors contribute $1,000 or more annually to The Umbrella and are the backbone of our support community. In thanks for this generous support The Umbrella is pleased to provide benefits to deepen and enliven your Umbrella arts experience. Click here to learn more.
Gifts to the Annual Fund at every level support...
- Robust education programs for every age and stage of life, toddlers through seniors
- A vibrant environment for the visual arts with more than 50 studio artists in residence, a state-of-the-art ceramics studio, and a gallery that features both established and up-and-coming artists
- A fully professional Stage Company producing bold, daring, beloved, and original works in our two performance spaces
Ticket sales and class registrations only pay for a portion of our programs. Your gift today will have a direct impact and provide access to arts and culture for your community and the greater Metro West region.
More Ways to Give
Donate through a Corporate/Employer Matching Gift Program
Many companies and employers have matching-gift programs, doubling (or in some cases even tripling) donations their employees make to a favorite charity. The Umbrella, a non-profit arts center, is a 501(c)(3) organization and eligible for matching gift contributions. Download Information Sheet for Employer Donor/Volunteer Matching Programs.
If you or your employer have any questions, please contact Katie Cimet at email@example.com.
Recommend a grant from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A donor-advised fund (DAF) provides donors with a centralized charitable giving vehicle. Through a donor-advised fund, you can allocate a charitable gift each year and take an immediate tax deduction. Commonly used donor-advised funds include Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, National Philanthropic Trust, and BNY Mellon, among many others. Recommend a gift to The Umbrella or contact Katie Cimet at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Donate a Securities Gift
The Umbrella gratefully welcomes gifts of securities, and provides guidelines and contacts to minimize delays and expenses. Download Information Sheet About Donating Securities. For help, please contact Katie Cimet at email@example.com.
Make a Gift in Honor of Someone Special
The Umbrella will gladly help you target your gift for a specific purpose or as a tribute to a particular person. For help, please contact Katie Cimet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Support us as a Business Partner
We are pleased to work with several organizations who wish to show their committment to the arts and reach out to The Umbrella Arts community. Contact us for details about opportunities and benefits of support through our Business Partners Program.
Consider a Bequest
A bequest can be an easy and satisfying gift to make: It costs nothing now but can have enormous future impact. One of The Umbrella’s largest gifts to date was an unexpected bequest that served as the catalyst for our Building the Arts campaign! We welcome bequests of many types and all sizes. Your gift can take the form of:
- a specific amount
- a specific asset, such as property or securities
- a percentage of your estate
A bequest gift may recognize a loved one or an influential artist, benefit a specific activity or program, or serve as a general and important investment in the future of the arts in our community. To learn more about making a bequest, please contact Katie Cimet at email@example.com.
Purchase Art Supplies That Give Back to The Umbrella
For the many artists in our community who purchase art supplies from Blick, consider bookmarking and shopping through The Umbrella Arts Center's Affiliate Link. For each purchase, Blick will share a small commission to support The Umbrella.
