WINTER ADULTS: Combined Methods

INT/ADV

Course Description:
This course is designed to assist students with developing and progressing their own body of work. Students will be supported through a series of thematic projects appropriate to the group and skill level. Through a combination of throwing, coiling, slab construction, we will focus on finding new ways to create forms which serve both as utilitarian objects and/or sculpture. We will also explore techniques of surface treatment; application of slips, texture, glaze, and image transfers. This is a project-based studio course, so be prepared to bring forward your personal interests in clay! This class is suitable for intermediate-advanced students.

***This is a 7-week course. For access to the studio for the full 12-week winter semester (January 6 - March 28), please choose the "Add-On" price option.***
