FALL ADULTS WORKSHOP: Plated!

Course Description:     
This workshop will investigate a variety of plate forms. Through a series of steps addressing topics such as plate design, creating a rim, and trimming a foot, students will develop an understanding of the nuances of plate forming in relation to function. Throughout the workshop, students will practice throwing and trimming plates to acquire an intimate knowledge of all aspects of what is essential to construct a functional plate. This class is suitable for all levels; not recommended for absolute beginners.

Widely exhibited and published artist and teacher, Kyle Johns is the new Ceramics Artist-in-Residence at The Umbrella Arts Center.
