WINTER FAMILY: Henna Art Workshop

Course Description:     
In this workshop families will learn how to draw, design and make Henna designs on their own skin. Henna is traditionally used for special occasions like holidays, birthdays and weddings in Africa, Pakistan, India, and the Middle East. Henna is a symbol of beauty, art, and happiness and is meant for everyone. A henna tattoo is made with dye from the henna plant. The tattoo is often made with a specific amount of henna powder mixed with other ingredients, such as water or tea. This class includes step by step instruction of this art style, historical information, materials and patterns will be provided.

Anjana Bhargava, Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner (alternative medicine from India) and Mithila Artist (also called Madhubani), uses natural methods of healing through herbs and spices.
