WINTER ADULTS: Brush and Canvas Beginnings

Course Description:     
With a continued emphasis on process, in this painting class students explore a range of materials and techniques, gaining a deeper understanding of the tools of painting, color mixing, pigments and varied surfaces. We will explore acrylic mediums- to learn about special effects that create glossiness or textures. Novices and beginners welcome; prior drawing experience necessary.

Nayda A. Cuevas was born in Puerto Rico. She obtained a BFA in Fine Art (2002) from Stetson University in Deland FL and her MFA in Visual Arts (2015) at Lesley College of Art (Former Art Institute of Boston) in Cambridge, MA.
