THE UMBRELLA ARTS CAMP 2025!

 

2025 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29 at 12:00pm!

 

With a focus on the love of art and a keen awareness of the developmental needs of children and young adults, The Umbrella Arts Camp covers arts education for Grades K - 8 instructed by experienced practicing artists, arts educators, and teachers.

We offer arts for every interest. Children will have the opportunity to try a variety of artistic disciplines such as: Drawing & Painting, 2D & 3D Mixed-Media, Ceramics, Woodworking, Performing Arts and MORE!

DATES

Week 1: June 30 – July 3
Theme: Art of the Americas
Learn about and create art that derives from Northern, Central, and Southern America. Explore how many cultures, nations, and civilizations from past to present have made art inspired by their homeland.

Week 2: July 7 - July 11
Theme: Ahoy! The Sea & Stories
Explore the power & mystery of the sea that has inspired artists for centuries. Come on a journey as we dive into the mysterious fathoms below and try to stay afloat aboard a pirate ship.

Week 3: July 14 - July 18
Theme: Folklore: Myths & Legends
Explore the origins of some of the most famous stories through art. Come on a journey throughout history as we delve into fables, myths and legends. 

Week 4: July 21 - 25
Theme: Art & Archeology
Uncover and learn about past civilizations by exploring the art they created, their inventions, technology, science and more!

Week 5: July 28 - August 1
Theme: Elements of Nature
A week of exploration into how artists use nature and natural materials as a source of artistic inspiration.

Week 6: August 4 - August 8
Theme: Out of This World Art!
Join us on an intergalactic exploration of art. See how the cosmos and aspects of outer space such as moon phases, astronomy and the planets of our solar system can impact and inspire art.

Week 7: August 11 - August 15
Theme: Weird, Wild & Wacky Ways to Make Art
Take a look into the unusual, inventive and out of the box approaches to making art. This week will focus on exploring new approaches and embracing the creative spirit through various art forms.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

AGES
The Summer Camp Program is open for students in Grades K – 8 for the 2025-2026 school year. With Half-Day and Full-Day, program options for Grades K-6, and our Full Day Teen Program specifically for Grades 7 & 8.

HOURS
Half-Day (AM): 8:30am - 12:00pm
Morning ONLY for Grades K – 6. Includes two different one-hour art classes each day and a break for a mid-morning snack.
Tuition: $400
 
Full-Day: 9:00am - 4:30pm
Full Day program for Grades K – 6. Includes four different one-hour art classes each day. Full Day students must be provided with a NUT-FREE lunch from home for the mid-day break & NUT-FREE snacks for a mid-morning & mid-afternoon break.
Tuition: $600

Full Day Teen Program (Grades 7 - 8): 9:00am - 4:30pm
Full Day Leadership & Art Making program for Grade 7 - 8 students. This leadership program helps to prepare teens for future jobs or internships while also getting a chance to take their own art classes. This program is structured for teens to spend half of the day gaining leadership experience working with children and the other half of the day taking two different one-hour art classes. This program is perfect for teens who still want to attend art camp while also preparing them for leadership opportunities such as being a future Classroom Assistant, Camp Counselor or Teacher. Teens must be provided with a NUT-FREE lunch from home for the mid-day break & NUT-FREE snacks for a mid-morning & mid-afternoon break.
Tuition: $400

Full Day Art Studios Program 2D or 3D Track: 9:00am - 4:30pm
A Full Day program for Ages 8-14 during the week of August 11-15, for students with previous art experience looking for more specialized and specific classes. This program offers either a 2D or 3D track for students to select which art styles are of greater interest to them. The 2D program focuses on art styles such as: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking & Mixed Media and the 3D program focuses on art styles such as: Ceramics, Sculpture, Woodworking and Fiber Arts. The Art Studios program includes 2 art classes daily each two-hours long - providing more time for more advanced art projects. Full Day students must be provided with a NUT FREE lunch from home for the mid-day break & NUT-FREE snacks for a brief mid-morning & mid-afternoon break.
Tuition: $650

EXTENDED CARE:
Extended Day Morning is a combined morning program for students enrolled in Half Day or Full Day Umbrella Arts Camp and Umbrella Performing Arts camp programming from 7:30am – 9:00am, Monday-Friday. Tuition is $100 for the full week (Monday-Friday) and can be purchased as an add on with camp registrations. Extended Day Afternoon is a combined afternoon program we run for students enrolled in all of the Summer Arts Under The Umbrella Camp Programs from 4:30pm-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Tuition is $100 for the full week (Monday-Friday) and can be purchased as an add on with camp registrations. HOUSEHOLD SIBLING DISCOUNT:
A tuition discount of 5% off additional registrations is available when two or more children are registered for the same week(s) and program type.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES AND LATE REGISTRATIONS:
Registration deadlines are 11:59pm EST on Sunday, 4 weeks prior to the start of the each respective Summer Program week. Registrations for each week will close at each week's deadline. Late registrations after a deadline date may be accepted on a space available basis with an additional fee of $50. Parents must contact The Umbrella office by phone or in person and be ready to make payment at the time of registration and complete all of the required camp forms.

UNDER-ENROLLED PROGRAMS:
In the unlikely event that a program is under-enrolled, the Program will be cancelled 2 weeks prior to the start date and a full refund will be given.

WITHDRAWAL FEES:

  • Tuition, less a $50 registration and processing fee per week and per individual (or per session) will be refunded if the request is made in writing on a time stamped email PRIOR to March 1st.
  • 50% of tuition payments will be refunded if the written request is made prior to the registration deadline of 11:59pm EST on the Sunday 4 weeks prior to the start of each respective summer camp program week for the week that registration applies.
  • No refunds will be issued on or after the registration deadline.


GROUP ASSIGNMENTS:
Grades K - 6 will be divided by age into similar age color groups. These color groups will be determined based upon the ages and total number of students enrolled per camp week. Please note that your child's age group will be adjusted to the nearest age group depending upon availability, at the discretion of the Camp Director. If you would like your student in a specific age group or with a friend you can make a request in the request section of the online registration. Requests will be honored when possible, but cannot be guaranteed and decisions on granting requests is at the discretion of the Camp Director.

TUITION ASSISTANCE:
A limited amount of tuition assistance is offered by The Umbrella to cover partial tuition costs for families in need. Application and approval are necessary. WAITLIST OPTION:
Should a camp week sell out, we will open a waitlist. We encourage interested families to register for the waitlist option, as spots may open up.
