ARTS & REC 2022!

The Umbrella Arts Center has once again partnered with the Concord Recreation Department Summer Camp to offer ARTS & REC a ½ Day Arts Program combined with a ½ Day Recreation Camp!

Looking for SPORTS AND ARTS this summer? This is the perfect program for you!

Campers begin the day with Concord Rec (9:00am–12:00pm) for activities that include free swim, science and nature, music and drama, sports and games, and more. Then join The Umbrella (12:00pm– 4:30pm) for lunch and an afternoon of creative exploration in Drawing & Painting, 2D & 3D Mixed-Media, Ceramics, Arts & Environment, Woodworking, Performing Arts and MORE!

Students enrolled in ARTS & REC will participate in the “All-Camp Field Trips" and "Field Day" activities with the Concord Recreation Department on the days and weeks that they are scheduled.

Ages by Grade:
Group A = Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Group B = 3rd Grade - 6th Grade

REGISTRATION DETAILS

HOUSEHOLD SIBLING DISCOUNT:
A tuition discount of 5% off additional registrations is available when two or more children are registered for the same week(s).

EARLY REGISTRATION BENEFIT:
BEFORE April 1 = $475 / ON or AFTER April 1 = $500
EXTENDED AM Option with Concord REC: $80 for 5 days, 7:30-9:00am (Register at: Concord Rec)
EXTENDED PM Option with The Umbrella: $100 for 5 days, 4:30-6:00pm

Tuition Assistance: A limited amount of tuition assistance is offered by The Umbrella through the Babette Newburger Art Education Fund to cover partial tuition costs for families in need. Application and approval are necessary. Awards are made first come, first served on a rolling deadline. Please contact the Education Director at 978.371.0820 x202 for more information.

WAITLIST OPTION:
Should a camp week sell out, we will open a waitlist. We encourage interested families to register for the waitlist option, as spots may open up and/or more spots may be added depending on staffing and final program enrollment. If you have any questions about the waitlist please contact rebecca@theumbrellaarts.org.

LATE REGISTRATIONS:
Registrations will close at 11:59pm EST on Sunday, 3 weeks prior to the start of the respective Summer Program Week. Registrations after a deadline date may be accepted on a space available basis with an additional fee of $50. Guardians must contact The Umbrella office by phone or in person and be ready to make payment at the time of registration and complete all of the required camp forms.

WITHDRAWAL FEES:
Tuition, less a $50 registration fee, will be refunded if the request is made PRIOR to the registration deadline for the week for which the registration was intended to begin. 50% of tuition payments may be refunded on a case by case basis after a registration deadline up to the start of each camp week. On or after the first day of each registered camp week, no refunds are given. In the case of an accident or illness, please contact the Umbrella office. We may be able to arrange a later start date.

 

Drop Off & Pick Up:

Parents/guardians/emergency contact adults are fully responsible for signing in all children at drop off and are responsible for signing out their children at pick up. Campers in ARTS and REC will be dropped off at a designated location at Concord Recreation building at 90 Stow St, Concord and they will be picked up at a designated location at The Umbrella building at 40 Stow Street, Concord.

Special Note: On field trip days that are “Full day with Rec” pick up for Arts & Rec children will be at Concord Recreation at 90 Stow Street, Concord. Buses will typically return to 90 Stow Street for the 4pm pick-up. If your child is in Extended Day PM (4:30-6:00pm) with The Umbrella, they will remain at Concord Recreation and join the extended day at Rec. Pick up will be by 6pm at 90 Stow Street.
