WINTER ADULT: Beginner Gelli Printmaking: Textures, Stencils, and Color

Course Description:
Join me in a fun interactive and accessible art making course using Gelli plates as a form of printmaking. The Gelli printmaking method sounds strange, but it’s a lot of fun. Using a print block made of gelatinous material that is inked up with acrylic paint we will create prints that use color, texture and stencils. Gelli Printmaking prints can be used to create cards, bind together to make sketchbooks,or become backgrounds for other art works. In this beginners class we will explore a variety of Gelli Printmaking methods such as:
● Create a Reductive and Additive Print
● Create a folded book
● Use Gelli Prints as a background for a multi media art work
● Use stencils and Flora to create prints
● Make stamps using cardboard
