SUMMER ADULTS: Parts of the Pot

INT/ADV

Course Description:
This wheel throwing course is designed for intermediate and advanced students looking to deepen their understanding of functional vessels and introduce more intention into their making. Each class session will focus on one component of the pot- the wall, foot, silhouette, rim, and glaze surface. Students will learn through handling and discussing example objects, group discussion, and instructor demonstration. We’ll spend each session exploring the incredible range of possibilities for each component, then experiment with them through making. This class is suitable for intermediate-advanced students.
