SPRING YOUTH: Mixed Media Painting (ages 5-8)

Course Description:     
This mixed media eight-week program encourages children to explore art using a combination of materials and techniques. Each week introduces exciting themes, from color mixing, 3D building, understanding sculptures and creating neon masterpieces. Students will create mosaics, collages, and use experimental painting tools. With an environmental focus encouraging to bring recycled materials. Students will be introduced to famous artist creating artist-inspired projects, such as Kusama, Basquiat and Keith Haring. The program encourages collaborative activities and personal exploration, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on making.

Instructor: Flor Delgadillo
Flor Delgadillo is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Museum Studies from Tufts University. With a strong background in video installation and digital design, she has served as a teaching assistant for college-level courses in sound, video, and multimedia.
