ARTS & REC 2025!
2025 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29 at 12:00pm!
Arts & REC is The Umbrella Arts Center and Concord Recreation Department’s partnership program! The Arts & REC program is a Full Day program where campers experience half of the day at a Recreation Camp and the other half of the day at an Arts Camp!
Looking for SPORTS AND ARTS this summer? This is the perfect program for you!
Campers begin the day with Concord Rec (9:00am – 12:00pm) for activities that include free swim, science and nature, music and drama, sports and games, and more. Then join The Umbrella Arts Center (12:00pm – 4:30pm) for lunch and an afternoon of creative exploration in Drawing & Painting, 2D & 3D Mixed-Media, Ceramics, Woodworking, Performing Arts and MORE!
Students enrolled in Arts & REC will participate in the All-Camp Field Trips and Field Day activities with the Concord Recreation Department on the days and weeks that they are scheduled.

EXTENDED CARE:
Extended AM with Concord REC: $60 for 5 days (7:30 - 9:00am)
Extended PM with The Umbrella: $100 for 5 days (4:30pm - 6:00pm)
TUITION ASSISTANCE:
A limited amount of tuition assistance is offered by The Umbrella to cover partial tuition costs for families in need. Application and approval are necessary. PROGRAM INFORMATION
AGES
The Arts & REC Program is open for students in Grades K – 6 for the 2025-2026 school year.
HOURS:
Full-Day (9:00am - 4:30pm)
TUITION:
$500
HOUSEHOLD SIBLING DISCOUNT:
A tuition discount of 5% off additional registrations is available when two or more children are registered for the same week(s) and program type.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES AND LATE REGISTRATIONS:
Registration deadlines are 11:59pm EST on Sunday, 4 weeks prior to the start of the each respective Summer Program week. Registrations for each week will close at each week's deadline. Late registrations after a deadline date may be accepted on a space available basis with an additional fee of $50. Parents must contact The Umbrella office by phone or in person and be ready to make payment at the time of registration and complete all of the required camp forms.
UNDER-ENROLLED PROGRAMS:
In the unlikely event that a program is under-enrolled, the Program will be cancelled 2 weeks prior to the start date and a full refund will be given.
WITHDRAWAL FEES:
- Tuition, less a $50 registration and processing fee per week and per individual (or per session) will be refunded if the request is made in writing on a time stamped email PRIOR to March 1st.
- 50% of tuition payments will be refunded if the written request is made prior to the registration deadline of 11:59pm EST on the Sunday 4 weeks prior to the start of each respective summer camp program week for the week that registration applies.
- No refunds will be issued on or after the registration deadline.
For the Arts & REC program, no changes or transfers from the registered Arts & REC program, to another Umbrella Camp program or a different Arts & REC camp week can be made within 7 days of the start date of that camp week.
In the case of an accident or illness, please contact the Umbrella office. We may be able to arrange a later start date or accommodate a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
AM / PM EXTENDED CARE:
AM Extended Care is available as an add-on for students enrolled in the Arts & REC Program. Extended Day Morning is run by Concord Recreation and registration for Extended Morning can be completed on the Concord Recreation registration website.
PM Extended Care is available as an add-on for students enrolled in the Arts & REC Program. Extended Day Afternoon is a combined afternoon program we run for students enrolled in all of the Summer Arts Under The Umbrella Camp Programs, including Arts & REC from 4:30pm-6:00pm daily Monday-Friday. Tuition is $100 for All Week (Monday-Friday) and can be purchased as an add-on with camp registrations. Extended Care Pick Up will take place at The Umbrella daily.

GROUP ASSIGNMENTS:
Grades K-6 will be divided by age into similar age groups. These groups will be determined based upon the ages and total number of students enrolled per camp week. Please note that your child's age group will be adjusted to the nearest age group depending upon availability, at the discretion of the Camp Director. If you would like your student in a specific age group or with a friend you can make a request in the request section of the online registration. Requests will be honored when possible, but cannot be guaranteed and decisions on granting requests is at the discretion of the Camp Director.
DROP OFF & PICK UP:
Drop off: Campers in Arts & REC will be dropped off at a designated location at the Concord Recreation building located at 90 Stow Street in Concord
Pick up: Campers in Arts & REC will be picked up at a designated location at The Umbrella Arts Center located at 40 Stow Street in Concord.
DROP OFF & PICK UP: Parents/guardians/emergency contact adults are fully responsible for signing in all children at drop off and for signing out all children at pick up.
WAITLIST OPTION:
Should a camp week sell out, we will open a waitlist. We encourage interested families to register for the waitlist option, as spots may open up. Programming is subject to change as new safety protocols are put in place.
