FALL YOUTH & TEEN: Hands-On Moviemaking I (Grades 6 - 8)
Lights, camera, collaboration! In this four-week after-school program, students in Grades 6–8 will team up for hands-on filmmaking challenges that spark creativity, teach the art of visual storytelling, and build valuable skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and improvisation. The program wraps with special invitations to a red-carpet-style December screening event where the final projects will premiere for friends, family, and fans. All equipment and resources are provided by The Umbrella.
Session 1: Monday, September 15, 4:00-6:00pm
Session 2: Monday, September 22, 4:00-6:00pm
Session 3: Monday, September 29, 4:00-6:00pm
Session 4: Monday, October 6, 4:00-6:00pm
Special Note: This program is provided free of charge as part of the Arts Elevate: Artist-in-Residence for Youth Wellness in Greater Lowell Program which was developed by Greater Lowell Community Foundation with lead funding from the Barr Foundation through its Creative Commonwealth Initiative. As part of the registration process additional demographic information is requested.
