Umbrella Artist/Teacher Nayda Cuevas Spotlighted in Artscope
May 22, 2019 by Stewart Ikeda
Umbrella faculty member, artist Nayda Aurora Cuevas, was featured in May/June Issue of Artscope Magazine in the feature "Cornered" by Brian Goslow.
The interview explored how her work seeks to draw attention to the Latinx community both in Puerto Rico and throughout the U.S., as well as painting technique.
Cuevas' work was recently exhbited in The Umbrella's Migration Fiber Arts Exhibit -- and Umbrella art students have come to know her through classes in Xerox Transfer Painting and, most recently, Miniature Portrait Painting.
Last fall, Cuevas was artist-in-residence at the Noble & Greenough School in Dedham.
