Course Description:
In this one-day ceramics experience, we’ll explore wabi-sabi—the Japanese philosophy of impermanence and beauty in imperfection—through the lens of historical and contemporary ceramics. Beginning with slides and discussion, Sarah will guide students through different interpretations of this philosophy and method of making.
