FALL ADULTS: Spontaneous Painting: Cultivating Artistic Courage, Confidence and Competence with Visual Exploration

Course Description:     
Through a series of process based art exercises emphasizing search over solution, artists of all levels and genres will cultivate a courageous approach to creating unexpected and captivating finished pieces. Explore a series of outcome based art projects combining collage, drawing and painting while learning about the possibilities of textural mediums such as smoke, pumice, modeling paste and plaster. Work with the elements of pattern, shape, line, harmonious and complimentary color, composition, scale and proportion to expand your comfort zone, skills and outcome. All levels welcome.

Instructor: Jill Goldman-Callahan
Jill Goldman-Callahan is a contemporary abstract painter interested in mystery and process. She has an BA in Fine Arts and Anthropology from Bennington college and an MA in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Jill is a resident artist at the Umbrella.
