FALL ADULTS: Coil Building and More

Course Description:
In Sarah’s coiling class, participants will learn the fundamental steps of coil building through demonstrations and projects. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with vessels of various shapes and sizes. The class will also discuss surface design and glazing. More experienced coil building students will be encouraged to develop independent goals and projects and will be supported throughout the semester with guidance and advice from Sarah. This class is suitable for all levels.

Sarah Chapman, ceramics instructor at Concord-Carlisle High School and studio artist, has an extensive artistic background. She spent over a decade as a studio artist at Mudflat Studio and will be joining the studios at the Umbrella in the fall of 2023.
