EM3050 Activity: Make Glass Music with Musician Vera Meyer
Musician Vera Meyer discovered glass music in 1983 when she happened upon street musician Jim Turner playing 70 wine glasses in Harvard Square, and has been playing ever since. She is the co-founder of Glass Music International. Her goal is to promote a renaissance of glass music around the world, and is delighted to share these videos and tutorial with you! She hopes you will record any music you make and SHARE IT!
OBJECTIVES
To learn about the physics of sound made with water and glass, how to make your own glass music with wine glasses, and different glass musical instruments.
