FALL FAMILIES: Family Filmmaking (Families, Grades 5-9)

Step into the director’s chair together in this unique family filmmaking one day program! Students in grades 5-9 and their parents will team up to co-create an original short film, learning the art of collaborative visual storytelling along the way. From reclaiming your digital device as a tool for creativity to exploring your community with a filmmaker’s eye, you’ll discover new ways to connect, create, and see the world. The program wraps with special invitations to a red-carpet-style December screening event where the final projects will premiere for friends, family, and fans. All equipment, resources and snacks are provided by the Umbrella.
