SPRING YOUTH: Pixel & Paper: Intro to Digital Art (Ages 8-12)

Course Description:
This course is designed for beginners and introduces students to essential tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. It combines hands-on projects with digital creations, allowing students to explore typography, create custom name designs, craft patterns, and bring their ideas to life through real-world objects like posters, and invitations. Throughout the Spring 2025 course, students will work on fun projects such as video game-inspired backgrounds. With a focus on creativity and self-expression, this course aims to build foundational design skills while encouraging students to explore their unique artistic voice. It is perfect for those who are ready to explore digital art for the first time! The course will teach students the fundamental principles of balancing 2D and digital art to better understand how to make their ideas come to life. Sketching is fundamental even designing in the digital world.
