SUPPORT THE UMBRELLA
This year, there are two areas of support where your gift can make a difference:
the Annual Fund and the Strategic Initiatives Campaign.

MAKE A GIFT TO THE STRATEGIC INITIATIVES CAMPAIGN
The Strategic Initiatives Campaign
As we plan for The Umbrella’s future, we have launched an important campaign to strengthen all the ways we support our artists, students, audiences, and community members every day.
Our Strategic Initiatives Campaign focuses on three key priorities:
- Expand and improve creative spaces to meet growing demand for ceramics, woodworking, artist residencies, and a new community studio.
- Build a new website that makes it easier for people to discover, register for, and engage with The Umbrella's programs.
- Refresh our visual identity and brand to better reflect who we are today and strengthen our visibility throughout the region.
These investments will help The Umbrella grow, welcome new audiences, and deepen its impact across the community.
Because of your support, this year The Umbrella:
- Provided 200+ job opportunities for artists, educators, performers, designers, technicians, and creatives
Supported five emerging artists with studio space, exhibition opportunities, and a creative community - Presented a Boston Globe-featured exhibition of astral photography (Ancient Light)
- Welcomed a record number of campers to our summer programs
- Earned six nominations and one win (Johnny Shea, Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical) for our production of tick, tick...BOOM! from the Boston Theatre Critics' Association
- Sold out Stage Company performances of To Kill a Mockingbird and Hairspray
- Provided 400 complimentary tickets to students and educators for Performing Arts programming
- Served over 30,000 learners, audiences, and community members
Each of these milestones represents something deeper: opportunities for artists to grow, pathways to access paved, stories brought vividly to life, and shared experiences that strengthen our community.
As we approach the final days of our fiscal year, we invite you to help sustain our momentum. Your gift today ensures that we keep the arts vibrant and accessible for all.
