WINTER ADULTS: Woodworking Independent Projects

Course Description:     
Do you have a dream woodworking project? Join "Independent Projects" to learn woodworking skills while completing your own project. Students will come to class with ideas for what they want to make and will be guided through the process for each specific project. Students will learn the woodworking skills necessary for their ideas, including the use of hand and power tools.

Students should be comfortable working with their hands and using power tools. Prior woodworking experience is not required. Project complexity will be limited by class time.

Instructor: Olivia Curtis
Olivia is a sculptor based in Lowell, MA. Her process-based practice incorporates wood, glass, and ceramics. Her work is focused on creating systems to integrate materials across studios. She has taught woodworking to students at Massachusetts College of Art and Harvard’s Art, Film, and Visual Studies program.
