SPRING ADULTS: Shed Building Workshop

Course Description:
Together we’ll build a shed that teaches each student all the basics of framing and building. We will use the principles of “tiny house” building and apply it to a shed that we will collectively construct.

This three-day class is a workshop introduction to building small structures — i.e., tiny houses, sheds, or rebuilt walls. We will be covering framing, materials used in framing, types of framings (squaring), and how to make the elements of a shed come together correctly. Starting Friday evening, we will meet, introduce ourselves, and have an overview; Saturday and Sunday will be full days devoted to building the shed.

Participants do not need to have equipment but if they have their own impact driver, drill, or saw, they are welcome to bring it. No experience required. You’ll be learning how to frame doorways, windows, how to tie walls together, and how to work with a group or how to build on your own.
