Statement of Support from The Umbrella

June 1, 2020 by Stewart Ikeda

The Umbrella stands by people of color in our family, our community, and around the country. Black Lives Matter, and we commit to do our part to support you as you have supported us.

The arts have power to connect, nurture and heal, to foster compassion and empathy. With a mission to enrich lives and build a vibrant community through the arts, The Umbrella exists to benefit everyone. We will shine a light on racial injustice and use our platform to affect change.

We encourage our entire Umbrella community to stand by artists of color and consider supporting organizations working to combat racial injustices today.
