Acclaimed playwright Samuel D. Hunter's award-winning duology explores loneliness and human connection in rural America. Directed by Umbrella Artist-in-Residence Joe Juknievich and presented with a cast of Boston-area talent, each of these free Black Box readings presents an assured, sensitive, and singular voice of contemporary theater.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Joe Juknievich is a theater director based in Boston, Massachusetts focused on highly collaborative, dialogical creative processes. Last season, he assistant directed Network, and this season he assistant directed tick, tick... BOOM! and To Kill a Mockingbird. As an artist, Joe strives to cultivate civic spaces between collaborators such that resonant performances can emerge authentically and inclusively. Read an interview with Joe here.
