WINTER FAMILY: Generations in Clay

Course Description:     
In this family class, the youth student and parent/caregiver will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing together in a fun and supportive environment. Students of all experience levels are welcome to register and learn / continue to develop basic techniques like centering, shaping, and creating simple forms during the first class session. Then continue to practice wheel throwing and learn the process of glazing during the second class session. Registration is for a parent / student combo; additional student cost $140.00.

Instructor: Kathryn Kim
Kathryn Kim is a ceramic artist, photographer, and teacher for more than 10 years to children and adults.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Anderson University in South Carolina. She went on to teach middle school art at Imago, a local private school, and started teaching at The Umbrella in 2015.
