WINTER ADULTS: Intro to Photo Editing Workshop

Course Description:     
Discover how to elevate your images by harnessing powerful image editing software in this beginner-friendly workshop. Over the course of two three-hour sessions, we will learn how to navigate GIMP, from importing and organizing RAW photo files to editing exposure, color, white balance, and more. We will explore how to make global and local changes to our images using tools like RGB curves and masks. Through demos and hands-on editing, you will master retouching tools that offer even more precision. Whether you are an aspiring portrait photographer, a wildlife enthusiast, or just excited about anything photo-related, you will come away from these two sessions with a deeper understanding of the creative possibilities of photo editing.

Instructor: Elizabeth Hopkins
Elizabeth Hopkins (b. 1993) is a photographic artist and educator based in Boston, MA. A lifelong visual artist, Hopkins discovered her passion for photography during a road trip across the Midwest. She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she earned her master’s in photography. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Skidmore College.
