WINTER ADULTS: Intro to Digital Winter Photography

Course Description:     
Learn how to hone your eye and tell stories through pictures in this introductory digital photography course. Over the course of the semester sessions, you will learn both the technical skills and creative process involved in capturing digital photography during the Winter season.

We will explore different genres of photography, including landscape and portrait, using our immediate environs in Concord as a site of play and exploration.

Students will come away with a deeper understanding of how images can convey a narrative, theme, or feeling, through use of compositional elements such as light, subject, and color in addition to understanding master DSLR/mirrorless camera operations as well as the ins and outs of manual exposure.

Required materials: DSLR/mirrorless camera, SD card(s), notebook, writing implement, sneakers and water for photo walks.
