WINTER ADULTS: All About Surface

Course Description:     
Looking to liven up your hand-built or thrown ceramic vessels? This class will cover a wide range of surface techniques for all different stages in the making process. Students will learn through discussion and instructor led experimentation with materials such as slip, underglaze, wax resist, and more. The course will also include an introduction to compositional considerations and elements of design as they apply to decorating 3D forms. This class is suitable for intermediate-advanced students.

Katie Bosley Sabin is originally from Clearwater, Florida, and is currently making and teaching in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her MFA in Ceramics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and her BFA from the University of Florida.
