SPRING ADULTS: Toolmaking for Ceramicists
Course Description:
Do you need a custom rib for throwing? “Tool Making for Ceramicists” is your introduction to making one! Students will use the bandsaw, scroll saw, and sanders to make wooden tools. Participants can recreate tools or create custom ones. Existing tools can also be modified or sharpened. All levels welcome
Instructor: Olivia Curtis
Olivia is a sculptor based in Lowell, MA. Her process-based practice incorporates wood, glass, and ceramics. Her work is focused on creating systems to integrate materials across studios. She has taught woodworking to students at Massachusetts College of Art and Harvard’s Art, Film, and Visual Studies program.
