Earth Press Project: Witness Panel Discussion

Monday, Oct. 21, 7 - 8:30 pm
@ The Umbrella Main Stage Theater

Join us on the Umbrella Main Stage Theater for a discussion around the theme of "Witness".  With Earth Press Project: Witness as our entry point, we will explore this topic from social, environmental, legal and religious perspectives, and question together:

What does it mean to witness? To look-on as passive bystanders? Or does witnessing require our participation, an embodied and physiological ‘bearing’? How can witnessing ourselves and each other and the landscape transform this moment?  For whom will we stand, for what will we testify?

Hosted by CC King, local environmental activists and co-founder of the Musketaquid program, panelists include:

  • Bryan Windmiller: Scientist, educator; founder of Grassroots Wildlife Conservation
  • Christina Piccione: CCHS Senior, CCHS Voice staff writer
  • Nadia Yassa: Attorney, fundraiser, immigrant rights activist
  • Hannah Brown: Minister, West Concord Union Church
  • Nancy Winship Milliken: Artist behind Earth Press Project: Witness installation at Minute Man National Historical Park, in partnership with The Umbrella

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
