ArtTalk on Creativity and Neuroscience
Learn about research findings grounded in neurobiology and neuropsychology that offer insights, resources, and tools to enhance creativity at The Umbrella’s ArtTalk on April 23 from 3:00-4:00 pm. The speaker, Joan Carroll-Cronin, is a performance psychology coach who works with visual and performing artists, athletes, and business professionals. She is also a veteran psychotherapist who has held offices in Concord and Acton for over 20 years.
Carroll-Cronin will lead participants in a brief tour of brain structures to identify specific neural activation patterns linked with those of highly creative artists. She will also discuss the importance of moving gradually outside of your comfort zone to explore different aspects of creativity, make new connections, and uncover new possibilities.
This event takes place in The Umbrella Gallery as part of a monthly ArtTalk series. It is free and open to the public.
