Kathryn Kim

Kathryn Kim is a ceramic artist, photographer, and teacher for more than 10 years to children and adults.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Anderson University in South Carolina. She went on to teach middle school art at Imago, a local private school, and started teaching at the Emerson Umbrella in 2015. Kathryn’s specialties include creating functional pottery on the wheel, displaying symmetry and earthy tones.  She has a huge passion for teaching beginners this unique medium and sharing the excitement of creating something on the spinning wheel.  Kathryn also owns her own photography business, Kathryn Rose Photography, which she has been building for 14 years now and specializes in portrait work and sports photography.  When she is not working out of her home studio, she can be found coaching the Girls Varsity Soccer Program at Lexington Christian Academy.  Currently, Kathryn lives in Watertown with her husband, continuing to create functional artwork and teach ceramics
