FALL FAMILIES: Unorthodox Instrument Making Workshop (Families Ages 11+)

Course Description:     
This workshop will provide a space for you to create your own noise maker/instrument using a contact microphone, effects pedals, and a small, crisp looking box that we will create in the woodshop. We will be able to incorporate personalized accentuations such as small figurines, glass, rocks, rubber bands, etc., into our small wooden structure and then solder together a microphone that will serve as our input, or “pickup”. Students will need to be trained and comfortable in the woodshop and also have a bare bones understanding of electrical soldering. Tuition includes 1 parent and 1 child.
