Riley Borst
Riley is a passionate performer, educator, and scholar who believes in the transformative impact of arts education. Throughout her career Riley has strived to bring her love for theatre and the arts to the forefront of her work. She is thrilled to be a recent addition at The Umbrella and is looking forward to sharing her passion for arts education and helping enhance the education program.
Previously, Riley worked as a Pre-School and After School Teacher in Wellesley where she led theatre enrichments and art projects. She has served as a Lead Teacher in Summer Programs where she taught both Performance and Movement classes. Alongside this she also served as an Administrative Assistant and Manager of the Classical Artifacts Research Collection at Brandeis University.
Riley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre & Performance Studies with a focus in Musical Theatre from Kennesaw State University and a Masters Degree in Ancient Greek & Roman studies from Brandeis University. Her academic research focused on ancient forms of performance and how we can adapt and bring those stories to a modern audience. Promoting a connection between ancient art and performance and contemporary art forms.
