FALL ADULTS: The Free Voice: Somatic Voice & Text (Mondays)

Course Description:
Your voice is as unique as your fi ngerprint, yet everyday stress, physical habit, and habitual tension often keep it constrained. Drawing on foundational progression and techniques from the Linklater Voice Method, this course is designed to dismantle those physical blocks and reconnect you to the full power, resonance, and range of your natural voice.

For experienced actors, this is a return to essential practice—an opportunity to drop back into somatic release, shed performance habits, and rediscover effortless text connection. For non-actors, artists, public speakers, and curious creatives, it offers a practical path to authentic expression, presence, and vocal ease without the pressure to perform.

Through gentle breath awareness, sound exploration, and targeted physical release, you will learn to let go of tension, invite emotional resonance, and speak from a place of deep alignment.
Open to all adult ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned performers. No prior vocal or theater experience required. All exercises can be fully adapted to meet individual physical needs and mobility levels—movement can be done seated, standing, or fl oor-based depending on what best serves your body.

What to Bring & Wear:
Please wear comfortable, fl exible clothing that allows for unrestricted movement and deep breathing. Bring a water bottle and a yoga mat or towel for fl oor work. Be prepared for a warm, supportive, and accessible environment focused on discovery and ease.
