FALL TEEN & ADULTS: Clay Beyond the Classroom (Ages 17-23)

BEG/INT/ADV

Course Description:
For high school juniors, seniors, and college age students (ages 17-23) this is a Sunday afternoon ceramics class for students who are ready for more than a school studio can offer. Using a combined methods approach — wheel-throwing, hand-building, surface work, and glaze exploration — this small, focused group meets weekly in The Umbrella’s clay studio to build technical skills, develop an independent practice, and work alongside serious peers in a real studio environment.

Please note: The class is designed for students who already have some experience with clay and want dedicated time, deeper challenge, and a connection to a working ceramics community. Students under 18 require a signed parental consent form. Open studio access is only available to participants 18 and older.
