FALL YOUTH: Paint and Design (ages 5-8)
Course Description:
Kids will learn a variety of painting techniques by creating several elements of a 2D aquarium. Kids will learn techniques such as salt+ink, wet vs dry brushing, additive vs subtractive painting, etc. Each week we will create one item of the aquarium with a specific technique. We will back a background of the sea, middle ground of fish and other sea life, and a foreground too appear as the glass of and aquarium.
Instructor: Shoni Hallock-Martin
Shoni is a Massachusetts-based artist who graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2024 with a BFA in painting. They mainly work with oil and acrylic, but also experiment with painting in the expanded field, as well as book-making, collage, and glass.
