FALL ADULTS WORKSHOP: Molding Glass

Course Description:
In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the basics of kiln-forming while designing and creating a mold made of thin ceramic fiber, a material that is easily cut , torn, layered. Your instructor will put your mold in his kiln and place three sheets of clear fusible glass on top of it. Once fired at high temperature, your creation will become a thick 10” x 10” tile that will take the imprint of the mold, just like you hand crafted it. Enjoy your low relief creation as it comes alive during the day and at night with different light conditions.
