Claire Cordonnier

Claire is a recent graduate of Providence College with a BA in Art History. She is excited to join Umbrella Arts as Development Associate, where she looks forward to gaining experience in the administrative side of nonprofit arts organizations and contributing to the work of a vibrant local arts community.

Prior to joining The Umbrella, Claire interned at the Concord Center for the Visual Arts, where she conducted research using unprocessed archival materials, culminating in her senior thesis. This work explored Concord artist Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts, and examined how her group portraits reflected civic life during World War I. Claire also worked as a Summer Fellow at Providence College Galleries, focusing on curating an exhibition utilizing artworks in the college’s permanent collection, with the goal of highlighting Providence’s rich immigration history. Additionally, she led an alternative-text initiative to improve accessibility for the gallery’s website.

Claire has long enjoyed spending time in the Concord area and is excited to be part of Umbrella Arts. Outside of work, she enjoys practicing yoga, baking, and spending time outdoors.
