FALL ADULTS WORKSHOP: Micro to Macro, condensed: Scaling up from a free-form maquette

BEG/INT/ADV

Course Description:
Fluidity and unconfined exploration in small forms allows tactile freedom to meet intuitive aesthetic selectivity. These miniature, rapid-fire, “ah-ha” creations then become the prototypes or maquettes for enlarging to a grand scale—and with that intention comes all the technical questions of how to make that transition feasible. This 1-day demonstration will explore fresh coiling, inverted beginnings, and double-walled forms with internal armature. This will be an intensely condensed version of a complex hand-building/problem-solving process. DEMO ONLY. This class is suitable for all students.

This workshop will be followed by a free artist talk. Advanced registration required. More information here.
