Susan J. Alyn

Susan J. Alyn is a native New Yorker and a multidisciplinary artist and art educator based in Greater Boston. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Film/Television. She subsequently received a Master of Arts from the University of South Florida’s College of Education and became a licensed teacher in three academic subject areas, including K-12 Art.

Susan taught art for several years to children at a rural public elementary school in Florida. She enhanced her knowledge of art education by completing a select summer graduate program on special topics, including sculpture, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Here in Massachusetts Susan has taught art in a private Catholic school's after school program, and worked as a licensed Pre-K teacher in Boston and Lexington.

Her work has encompassed many different mediums from producing television and radio commercials at a Madison Avenue advertising agency to acting on stage in community theater and writing to photography.
