Course Description:
Discover the joy of working with clay in our Beginner Wheel Class. This hands-on course will teach you the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering, shaping, and trimming your own pieces. With the help of a supportive low-pressure environment, you’ll gain confidence creating functional ceramics like bowls, cups, plates and more! Bring your curiosity; this is the perfect place to start (or reignite) your ceramics journey. This class is suitable for beginner students.
Instructor: Alex Hogan Kosciak
With decades of experience in ceramics and counseling psychology Alex brings an open and thoughtful perspective to teaching and creating art. She has taught ceramics to both children and adults in a variety of settings from public schools to community art centers and summer camps to private studios.
