The Yale School of Architecture’s First Year Building Project and NeighborWorks New Horizons have teamed up with Artspace and Guest Curator Elinor Slomba to present temporary and permanent artworks throughout the rooms and grounds of the newly constructed house at 193 Winthrop Ave in New Haven, CT. This space is open to the public during City-Wide Open Studios Transported Weekend, October 17 and 18, 12-6pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Fold up those lawn chairs, and put away the ball gloves - it’s time for the pleasures of the cooler months.  And right here in the heart of Concord, The Umbrella Center will be aglow on many evenings with a new season of theater.

This show is open to all 2D and 3D artists who work on a small scale.  Work must be original and have been completed in the past three years.

As we come to the last leg of a successful first year of our Artist-in-Residence program with Nina Earley, The Umbrella is proud to announce that we have selected the artist for our 2015-2016 Residency. Sarah Fagan was chosen from a large pool of talented artists who applied from all across the states.

Over fifty people filled The Umbrella Gallery on June 25 to celebrate the opening of Evans, Avery, Savage: 30 Years Under The Umbrella.

You wouldn’t guess it from the sunshine streaming mockingly through my window at this moment, but heavy downpours for most of the morning on Sunday kept us from going out to the build site.  I suppose it was just Mother Nature’s way of ensuring that I rested, because apparently it takes a thunderstorm to make me slow down.
