Katie Speed is a theatre educator and teaching artist living in Jamaica Plain, MA. She holds a BA in Theatre Education (Acting Concentration) from Emerson College, an MA in Applied Theatre (Drama in the Community and Drama Education) from the Royal School of Speech and Drama in London, and an MSEd from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently teaches drama at Wellesley Middle School, but she has taught students as young as age four all the way through high school. Katie is also a performer and director in the Boston area. She most recently appeared as Myrtle Mae Simmons in the Footlight Club’s production of Harvey and looks forward to returning to the stage in the Riverside Theatre Works production of Beauty and the Beast in March 2021.
