Guided Figure Drawing

Drawing from a life model with guided instructions. The Umbrella provides a model and easels for 3 hours. Work in any drawing medium—bring your own supplies! The first hour will consist of warmup sketches focusing on capturing the essence and weight of the pose (2-10 minute poses). The second hour will start with a demonstration of a technique to facilitate visualizing and drawing specific body parts such as hands, head, and core. The third hour will include a long pose. Students are free to draw in their preferred style. Instructor will provided individual guidance based on students’ style and goals.

This course will have 3 instructor guided figure drawing class with 3 unguided classes.

Instructor: Roneld Lores
Roneld Lores is a sculptor and painter living in Lowell. He has been an active part of the artist community for over 20 years. Originally from Cuba, Mr. Lores moved to the United States at the age of eight and studied Fine Arts at New World School of the Arts and Florida International University, where he received a BFA in 1994 with a major in Ceramics & Sculpture.
