BEG/INT/ADV
The Saggar Workshop is a six-week session designed to familiarize students with the process of saggar firing from start to finish. The first three weeks will be dedicated to making work for the firing. We will be learning about throwing with ribs for maximum smoothness and how to make coil pots for the saggars as well as making our own saggars for the firing. The second part of the course will concentrate on terra sigilatta treatments, gathering combustibles, packing the saggars and the post firing process.
