Volunteer Teaching Assistants needed forApril Vacation Week Program 2017

Bring your enjoyment of ART and working with KIDS

What:  Teaching Assistants for April  Vacation Week. Assist Teachers during vacation art camp. 

A popular teen volunteer assignment! 

Where:  The UmbrellaCommunity Arts Center, 40 Stow Street, Concord

When: Tuesday, April 18^th  to Friday, April 21^st 2017. * See hours below.

Time Commitment: Choose all day or half days. Volunteer teaching assistants who are scheduled for full days should arrive at 8:30am and stay until 4:30 pm. Half day MORNING volunteer teaching assistants should arrive at 8:30am and leave at 1:00 pm. Half day AFTERNOON volunteer teaching assistants should arrive at 12:30pm and leave at4:30pm. Extended day available until 5:30pm. More details will follow closer to the date.

Requirements: Outgoing, high energy, dependable, ability to take initiative, enjoy working with kids, ability to follow directions, excellent character, integrity, and flexibility.

April Vacation Week Theme: GREEN Week!

Welcome SPRING and join us in celebrating and exploring – earth-friendly recycled materials through art making. Projects are aimed at building sustainable practices in everyday living.
Reduce, reuse and recycle...transform plastic parts, newspaper, cardboard, scrap fabrics, and recycled ceramics into art.  Turn what some people call trash into beautiful art.  Collect art materials from nature while exploring our local environment and learning about plants and animals.  Students will have the opportunity to work in the mediums of Drawing & Painting, 2D and 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Performing Arts, Art & Nature, Woodworking/Workshop, Digital Arts and Film Making, and More!  Join us, and let the art adventures begin.
